I am learning to bow and use chopsticks. Cindy and Mandy are good teachers. They began training by putting a small amount of peanut m&m's in front of me that had to be picked up with chopsticks in order to be eaten. Talk about motivation! I am getting better. I rather like it!
Warm moist cloths are brought to our table before each meal. Feels great and clean hands! I wish we did this in America.
ICE CUBES really are cubes. They come in perfectly formed one-inch cubes! It is a little hard to tell from the picture because they were melting quickly.
The subway system is efficient, but confusing for a first-timer.
The Japanese are very conscious of the elderly and blind. Every walkway has these yellow raised ridges and bumps so that people can find their way around. Very nice.
This is the gigantic spider in Roku Roku Plaza. The ten metre bronze sculpture called Maman is the work of French artist Louise Bourgeois. It is quite amazing in person.
In Japan, desserts are a work of art.
